Commercial clients with large-scale waste removal needs will usually choose to have collections made by an 8-wheel grab lorry with a 16-tonne load capacity. The best way to optimise your waste management costs is to have full loads ready for us to remove because this is how we set our prices. Not all clients will need a grab lorry, especially those disposing of domestic waste. A 4 x 2 mini grab is the perfect alternative for those with small loads to collect.
LTS Grab Hire can also use a mini grab if you have materials stored in an area where a full-sized grab lorry might struggle with access or space limitations.

The Compact Waste Removal Solution
A traditional grab lorry has a length of approximately 9m so, while access is a common problem for other grab hire companies, it is never a problem for us. A mini grab can cope with collections from small roads and narrow lanes, or from construction sites with space restrictions or areas where it would be much harder for a grab lorry to manoeuvre. This owes much to the smaller cab and wheelbase size, and a significantly smaller length, height and width.
A mini grab also has a tighter turning circle than a grab lorry.
Because LTS Grab Hire can still collect loads of up to 9 tonnes, even a project of an intermediate size might benefit from a smaller fleet model. Like a grab lorry, a mini grab has a hydraulic arm and a bucket, and a bed that has a dividing plate so we can collect up to 4.5 tonnes of two different materials.
